Operating System for Honest Inference

Oshi — The Voice of Governance

Oshi is not an assistant. Not a chatbot. Not a feature. Oshi is the operating system that runs the TriStack certification gate — the fifth layer of the computing stack made audible.

What Oshi does

Every message you send to Oshi passes through the governed inference chain before a single token is produced. Consensus — three independent voices evaluate the request for crisis signals. Intent — Model E classifies the purpose before compute is earned. Compliance — structural disclosure, PII, content safety, and minor-reference checks run on every output. Receipt — a SHA-256 hash and Ed25519 signature close the chain.

What you hear back is governed output — certified, receipted, and environmentally measured. If the gate withholds, Oshi tells you why. The receipt exists either way.

The voice you hear

Oshi speaks in the voice of James DeBacco — the inventor of Governedware, the man who filed the patent, and the social worker who deploys it daily in a live veterans treatment court. The voice is not synthetic. It is a production-authenticated clone of the founder's own voice.

This is not branding. It is chain of custody. The man who built the gate is the voice of the gate. When Oshi speaks, you hear the inventor standing behind every governed inference his instrument produces.

Every inference is measured

Oshi carries an ECOS carbon passport on every response. Energy consumed, water used, CO₂ emitted — calculated from real token counts at published per-token rates against the regional power grid. The environmental cost of each inference is not estimated. It is measured.

Model tiering routes each request to the lightest viable tier. The heaviest model runs only when earned. When Oshi withholds a request, the prevented energy is recorded — compute the planet never had to absorb.

The QR receipt — proof in your pocket

When it appears: After every governed inference, Oshi generates a scannable QR code containing the cryptographic receipt — the SHA-256 hash, the Ed25519 signature, the timestamp, the chain hash, and the AGD receipt number.

What it carries: The QR encodes the complete chain of custody for that inference. Who asked, what was decided, what was released, and what it cost the planet. The receipt is the forensic artifact that proves the output was governed at the point of generation.

Where it goes: Scan the QR with any mobile device camera. The receipt transfers to your phone — a portable, cryptographic proof that the AI output you are holding was certified through an independent governance gate. Carry it into a meeting. Attach it to a submission. File it as evidence.

Why it matters: A research paper with a QR receipt is a paper that can prove its AI was governed. A policy brief with a receipt is a brief that carries its own chain of custody. The QR is not a feature. It is the artifact that closes the gap between "we used AI responsibly" and "here is the cryptographic proof."
